To relieve back pain, sore rear, achy wrists, tired eyes, dull
brain—take a break.
I know you’re already saying I already know this, you're not
telling me anything new. And that’s true, but how often do you take a break from
the computer with deadlines looming? Not often enough.
By just taking a simple one-minute break you can fight fatigue
and soreness in your body. That's not a lot of time, if you think of it in terms
of high-quality productivity.
This is all you need to do: stand up, focusing on something at a
distance, move your limbs, shake your wrists, stretching your back, make a fist.
Just these simple things done for one minute every hour can give you an whole
new outlook and frame of mind throughout your day.
If you can’t remember to do this simple exercise, set a timer for
one hour. When it goes off just stand up and follow through with the exercise
for one minute. And—see
if it doesn't work for you.
